  1. Apprenticed for eight years with Charles Olin of Olin Conservation, Inc. in Washington, D.C., conserving a variety of paintings and murals.  Mr. Olin is the former head of Painting Conservation at the Smithsonian American Art Musuem and the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C


  1. Roy Croft Inn, East Aurora, N.Y. Worked with James Hamm, Professor of Painting Conservation, Buffalo State College on the treatment of 16 large paintings by Alex Fournier.


  1. Associate Painting Conservator for Cunningham-Adams Fine Art Conservation on location during the treatment of a large section of the Brumidi Corridors at the United States National Capitol painted by Constantino Brumidi in lime wash fresco.


  1. Successfully completed the International Academic Program, Chemistry for Conservators course.


  1. AIC Tear Repair Workshop at the Getty Museum, Los Angeles, CA.


  1. Received B.F.A. from the University of South Carolina, Columbia.


  1. President, Crawford Conservation, Inc. for ten years.

Carol Crawford,  Professional Associate, AIC

After receiving her MFA degree in Printmaking from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Carol was employed in the Conservation Division of the Library of Congress for seven years.  She has also worked in the South Carolina Department of Archives & History as Conservator and the University of South Carolina Libraries as Laboratory Director/Senior Conservator.  Carol has worked with Crawford Conservation, Inc. for eight years.

Jaime Morgan, Registrar/Technician


Jaime Morgan received her B.F.A. in Art Studio and B.A. in Art History from the University of South Carolina, Columbia where she was honored to be selected as a Magellan and McNair Scholar.  Among the places she has exhibited her work are the Columbia Museum of Art, The Whig, The International School of Painting and Drawing in Montecastello di Vibio, Italy, and McMaster Gallery at the University of South Carolina.  She is a Visiting Associate Student Member of the American School of Classical Studies in Athens, Greece.  She has worked with Crawford Conservation, Inc. for three years.

Amy Chapman, Pre-Program Intern


Amy Chapman is currently a student at the University of South Carolina where she is studying to receive her Master's in Art History with a concentration in 18th/19th century art. She attended Winthrop University for her Undergraduate work in Art History and Studio Art. She is a mural artist and is working on illustrations for her first children's book due to be published this coming fall. Interested in both art conservation and art appraisal issues, she has been working with Crawford Conservation since August 2009.

Samantha Skelton, Pre-Program Intern


Samantha is currently completing a BA in Art History at the South Carolina Honors College at the University of South Carolina. She plans to pursue a graduate degree in Art Conservation. She has studied the conservation of oil paintings with Crawford Conservation since August of 2009.
